Fanny Kilian
Delegate - Austria
In 1988 she was born in Germany. Now she just finished her bachelor degree in "Environmental and Bio Resource Management" at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria. Before starting her studies she took a gap year and did a so-called "Voluntary Social Year in Politics", working at the municipality in Dresden, Germany. There she got a first insight in politics and noticed that things are going wrong there. Right now, she just started an internship in at the GIZ Eschborn, Germany . She is working in the sector "Sustainable sanitation systems". She would like to work later on projects that construct decentral renewable energy systems in rural regions. She is very interested in systems that combine sewage treatment/ sanitation with energy production, for example the project Sanergy in Kenya - this approach should be more implemented, in particular in development countries.
